Tern Island proves a big hit

Tern Island proves a big hit

After a couple of nervous weeks watching the returning Common Terns wheeling aimlessly round Royal Quays Marina without a home, we are delighted that the custom built 'Tern Island' has proved an outstanding success and is now the gathering place of choice for the Terns at the Marina.

It is great news that the effort that has has gone into the design and construction of the island has been rewarded with such a satisfying result.

For those interested in watching a short video clip of the birds filmed by Berthing Master, Ken Hastie.
