Quay Marinas Ltd is proposing to build a new facility for the patrons of the marina and the local community. Situated in a stunning location literally, right on the water’s edge at the tip of the marina peninsula, a new contemporary building will incorporate a cafe bar restaurant and additional toilet and shower facilities for marina users.
Visitors to the marina will be able to relax and enjoy an all-day dining and social experience in elegant but informal surroundings, whilst marina users will benefit from new high quality washroom facilities to complement the existing provision.
The building has been designed by local architects, Brightblue Studios of North Shields, with a simple but dynamic profile and to make the most of marina views. The café restaurant will be operated by the highly acclaimed Irvins Brasserie based on North Shields Fish Quay, who will bring a new dining experience tailored to the marina market. There will be outdoor seating for use in the summer months and the venue will be open to marina users and members of the public alike.
