Rhu Marina welcomes the Old Pulteney Mudhook Regatta

Rhu Marina welcomes the Old Pulteney Mudhook Regatta

Rhu Marina was very pleased to welcome the Old Pulteney Mudhook Regatta for the first time earlier this month.
The Mudhook Yacht Club organises the Scottish IRC Championship and this year the venue for the annual event moved from previous locations on the lower Clyde to the East Patch and was hosted jointly by Rhu Marina and Helensburgh Sailing Club.
Old Pulteney Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the main sponsor of the event.
The Mudhook Yacht Club was founded in 1873 with the founders' main aims being 'to encourage Corinthian yachting' and not 'to give expensive races for professional skippers steering their employers' yachts'. 142 years later the Club still maintains that Corinthian ethos.
