Another busy weekend at Rhu Marina

Rhu Marina had another busy weekend berthing the boats both for the Sigma 33 Offshore One Design 2013 Class Championship and the 2013 Clyde Classic Regatta.

The Sigma 33's enjoyed 10 races in 3 days of excellent sailing weather and local boats prevailed with Sigmatic from Helensburgh Sailing Club and Close Encounters from Royal Northern & Clyde Yacht Club coming first and second out of a fleet of 17 boats.

The Clyde Classic Regatta was a slightly more leisurely affair with cruises in company, talks on classic yacht design and other topics of interest as well as a number of social events both at the Marina and the RCYNC Clubhouse.

In all over the weekend Rhu Marina welcomed 55 visiting boats as well as 200 crew members and Marina staff reported excellent feedback from visitors commenting on the relaxed feel of the Marina and the much improved facilities.
