Rhu Marina sees in the New Year in style

Once again, the hardy locals of Helensburgh saw in the New Year with a bracing dip at Rhu Marina.

More than 150 brave souls defied the icy temperatures (7.5 degrees) with one lady opting to go round for a second time! A further 300 well wrapped up onlookers enjoyed the fun from a safe distance.

The event was organised and stewarded by the RNLI and raised almost £1000 for the charity.
