Swans breeding at Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve

A short walk along the coast to the East of the Lock Control Building at Portishead Quays Marina and you will find yourself in the Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve, a wetlands habitat with small lakes and bird hides for watching the local wildlife.
There is an added attraction at the moment in one of the small lakes to the South West of the Reserve where you can see a pair of Mute Swans together with their 8 cygnets. The Nature Reserve only takes about 45 minutes to walk around and has become a popular resource for local residents and visitors alike. It is well worth a visit if you fancy a gentle stroll and don't forget your binoculars!
