We are delighted to confirm that the new marina manager for Portishead Quays Marina is Ian Lidstone, who is starting his handover from Keith Berry on 15th July, prior to Keith’s retirement on 1st August.
Ian has been around boats and marinas for much of his life, with lots of relevant qualifications, but it is his clear vision of our customers’ needs and what is required to take the marina forward successfully which ultimately led to him securing the manager’s position. Ian’s career experience can be best summarised as an entrepreneur and business owner, predominantly having been involved in large scale event management, generally as ‘technical director’, overseeing critical technical elements to high profile events including the Sochi Winter Olympics and stage requirements to some of the most famous bands in the world including U2, Pink Floyd and Robbie Williams. All this alongside his ongoing involvement in boating and everything that goes with it.
Ian is a young 50 years old, is approachable and knowledgeable and we believe will take to the Portishead Manager’s role with great enthusiasm and commitment. He lives in Portishead and is very much looking forward to meeting everyone involved with the marina.
