Penarth Quays Marina welcomes World Half Marathon runners

Penarth Quays Marina welcomes World Half Marathon runners

The World Half Marathon Championship was held in Cardiff on Easter Saturday and the route came right past Penarth Quays Marina.
Despite some damp weather the event was a great success and showcased the Marina and Cardiff Bay on an international stage with some great aerial shots from the helicopter.  To celebrate the half marathon, Penarth Quays laid on a BBQ for berth holders and local residents and utilised the 20t Boat Hoist as a covered area and vantage point.  Unfortunately Mo Farah didn't win his race but the event was a great start to Penarth's Active Marina programme for 2016.
