Penarth Quays Marina welcomes new arrivals

Penarth Quays Marina's newest arrivals are seven cygnets that hatched at the marina last weekend.
There is a pair of resident swans that nest in the marina and we are hoping that a good percentage of their cygnets will survive this year. To give them every chance, we have fenced off their nesting site on the bank of the marina to deter land based predators. However there's not much we can do to protect them from the pike in the marina when the cygnets take to the water. We're keeping our fingers (and toes) firmly crossed!
