We hope that this website will help you to get the most out of the marina, our facilities, the local area and its attractions. With tide tables included below we hope that this website becomes a useful reference for you throughout your boating year.
Located in the historic basins of Penarth Docks, Penarth Quays is the most sheltered location within Cardiff Bay. With our lock gates providing further protection the marina is also the safest location to leave your vessel. As the only 5 Gold Anchors marina in the area, we’re recognised as Cardiff Bay’s premier berthing location and with 24 hour access there is always water available for boating within the freshwater bay within the barrage.
Our marina is the perfect location to enjoy your leisure time. Our friendly staff and range of facilities ensure that Penarth Quays Marina is an ideal base for those using Cardiff Bay and the Bristol Channel. Cardiff is a thriving capital city with a host of attractions and Penarth is a vibrant town with a rich history. Whether it’s sporting events, shopping, fine dining or coffee shops that you’re after the marina has them all close by. Both the Pier 64 Restaurant and Bar and the Compass Coffee shop and bistro are located on the marina itself so there is no need to walk far for refreshment.
When you are out cruising, our Quay Plus benefits are also helping to cut costs with free visitor berthing at Portishead Quays Marina and other Quay Marinas locations as well as discounted berthing via the ever expanding TransEurope Marinas network.
Our RYA Active Marina programme is very popular each year. With a range of social, cruising and training activities available, there's lots to look forward to.
