Cutter Suction Dredger 'Little Orme' makes good start at Caernafon

Quay Marinas dredging campaign at Doc Fictoria, Caernafon has got off to a good start with approximately 40% of the estimated 5000 cubic metres of Phase 1 spoil removed in the first week.
Following a 3 day mobilisation period, dredging started on 15th October and 'Little Orme' is dredging down to the original hard clay dock base. This is the first time that Doc Fictoria has been dredged since 1998 and, as you would expect, the dredger has picked up a fair amount of debris, particularly in the areas close to the pontoons. Phase 1 work is expected to be completed in early November.
