As shown by the before and after picture, the Little Orme, the cutter suction dredger owned jointly by Quay Marinas and The Crown Estate, is continuing to make spectacular progress dredging the South West and Southern edges of Conwy Quays Marina.
These areas which are adjacent to the small boat berths are being dredged to a depth of between 2.3 to 3 metres and will offer far more space for customers to navigate their boats to their berths.
Dredging on the Southern edge of the marina will progress as far as the access bridge and the Little Orme will then move to other parts of the marina with work expected to be completed in mid April.
Jon Roberts, Area Manager for Quay Marinas, said 'We are very excited by the production which the Little Orme is achieving in what is the most visible part of the marina and we think that customers will notice a significant difference in marina depths at Conwy in the coming season'.
