Bangor Marina welcomes a distinguished visitor

Bangor Marina welcomed a distinguished visitor this week when Sir Tim Laurence visited the Bangor Lifeboat Station located at the marina.
Sir Tim, in his role as Chairman of the RNLI's Operations Committee, visits every lifeboat station in the country on a rolling series of visits to ensure that the RNLI remains relevant to each station's unique needs.
Bangor Marina has a particularly close relationship with the Bangor Lifeboat station given that Marina Manager, Kevin Baird (pictured left) is Launch Authority, Senior Berthing Master Tommy Burns is a helm and 2 other members of the marina staff are also on the lifeboat crew.
