Bangor Sea Cadets show off their medals

Recently  cadets from Bangor Sea Cadet Unit competed at the National Sea Cadet Combined Regatta in London.
The 15 cadets returned with the Junior Girls Rowing Team winning Gold and the Senior Girls winning Silver. There was also Gold for the Junior Girls Kayak sprint, Silver for the Senior Girls Double Kayak and Bronze for the Junior Double Kayak.
This was a brilliant achievement by these young people whose ages range between 13 and 17 and was the culmination of some very hard training over the summer months.
Quay Marinas and a number of Bangor Marina Berth Holders actively support the fantastic work of both the Bangor and Newtownards Sea Cadet units which operate from Bangor Marina.
The accompanying photograph shows the cadets at Bangor Town Hall following a reception held by the Mayor Alan Graham to recognise the achievement of these young people.
