Quay Marinas nominated for European Apprenticeship award

We at Quay Marinas are delighted that Bangor Marina is to be nominated by Intern Europe for the small business award at the 2019 European Alliance for Apprenticeships Awards. These awards aim to recognise achievements of companies committed under the European Alliance for Apprenticeships, as well as their apprentices, for outstanding achievements in promoting apprenticeships.

Bangor Marina works closely with Intern Europe to provide work placements for Italian nautical students. Over the past three years, Bangor Marina has hosted 11 apprenticeship programmes. The most recent students completed their work placements at the end of June 2019 and are pictured together with Bangor Marina Senior Berthing Master, Tommy Burns.

As a company we endeavour to promote and foster quality relationships with placement students; we challenge and encourage them to develop skills which will be beneficial to their future seagoing careers.

The awards celebration event is scheduled to take place on 17th October in Helsinki.
