Bangor Marina re-accredited with 5 Gold Anchors

After a rigorous assessment in November, Bangor Marina has been re-accredited as a 5 Gold Anchors Marina by The Yacht Harbour Association.

In order to achieve this much sought after accreditation, Bangor Marina was subject to a detailed inspection covering all elements of the marina's operation. This included a berth holders questionnaire and a 'Mystery Shopper' telephone interview. The report of the inspection mentioned 'the pride of the staff working at the marina' and 'the high levels of customer service provided by members of staff'.

A special cake was baked to celebrate this achievement and the 5 Gold Anchors Certificate was presented to Bangor Marina Manager, Kevin Baird, by The Mayor of Ards and North Down Borough Council, Councillor Robert Adair. Also present were Bangor Marina Berth Holders Association committee members, Martin Watson and Brian Gibson, and marina staff members Victoria Hanna, Tommy Burns and Marti Adair.

Quay Marinas Ltd now has 6 marinas which hold the coveted 5 Gold Anchors status.
