Senior executives from The Crown Estate and representatives from the yachting press visited Rhu Marina on 20th July to mark the completion of the pontoon replacement programme.The visitors included Alison Nimmo, Chief Executive of The Crown Estate and Gareth Baird, a Scottish Commissioner.
The replacement programme was funded by The Crown Estate and has been carried out by Varis Engineering whose Sales Director, Calum MacDougall, is pictured with Quay Marinas' Managing Director, Simon Haigh. Simon commented 'We believe that the new concrete decked pontoons are very robust and will be very popular with customers.The pontoon fingers are also very generous and offer an unusual level of stability. The completion of these works is another important step towards making Rhu Marina a yachting facility to be proud of.'
