With the City of Bristol being only 15 minutes by car there is certainly plenty to see and do during your visit here with us.

Portishead town centre is a 10 minute walk from the Marina, and has a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants to cater for your needs. At the south west end of the dock, the Waitrose store offers a "Deliver to Yacht" service and further supermarkets and grocers are available in the town for general supplies.

Most of the high street banks and building societies have branches in the High Street, and the town library offers internet access. The post office and sorting office can also be found in the High Street.

A regular bus service from Portishead to Bristol and surrounding areas runs throughout the day, a bus timetable and local taxi company numbers are available from the Marina office. Mainline train stations at Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway serve the area. Air flights to destinations in Europe and beyond can be taken from Bristol International Airport.

The marina is located in the historic old dock, which lies at the northern end of the town of Portishead. Leisure facilities currently include a large Leisure Centre adjacent to the dock and numerous established pubs, restaurants and local shops within a few minutes walk of the marina. To the East of the marina is the Portbury Wharf Reserve which includes large pools and ponds and is home to a plentiful range of interesting wildlife for those interested in taking a stroll.

The City of Bristol is within 15 minutes by car and is home to many attractions, such as Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge and S.S. Great Britain, the world famous Bristol Zoo and the vibrant harbourside area. The historic harbour is also accessible by boat via the River Avon with visitor berthing available in the heart of the city.
